“Seventh Extracorporal Circulation Annual Conference” sponsored by Extracorporal Circulation Branch of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering was successfully held in Xi’an Shanxi from Aug. 21, 2015 to Aug. 23, 2015.This conference was China’s most important conference in the profession ofe xtracorporal circulation with the aim of enhancing the exchange between domestic professionals in extracorporal circulation, finding new reserves, more rapidly improving the clinical and scientific research levels of China’s extracorporal circulation physicians and better serving the patients with angiocardiopathy. This conference introduced new exchange methods; in the middle of seminars, the site interactions, debate on controversial subjects,appraisal of youth excellent papers, and CPB simulated training anddemonstration.

In the First Story-TellingSession of Extracorporal Circulation History, the video of Retrospective Showon Extracorporal Circulation History sponsored by Kewei obtained the consistentconfirmation of the experts and it is a new undertaking of historical value.The Story-Telling Session invited Professor Liu Weiyong, the first witness of China’s first case of extracorporal circulation and Professor Gong Qingcheng,the leader in extracorporal circulation of Anzhen Hospital to share the themedstories. Many young perfusionists present here had all sorts of feelings wellup in their mind and learned the hardship of the old generation ofextracorporal circulation workers in the career establishment so that they setup the determination to continue carry forward the extracorporal circulationcause and make the decision to serve more patients.
